17th Century Farm House in Umbria

Sant’Illuminato is located in the upper Valley of the Tiber, near the border between Umbria and Tuscany, within easy driving distance of scenic and historic centres like Città di Castello; Arezzo, Cortona, Gubbio, Perugia, Assisi and Lake Trasimeno. Nestled in the low hills overlooking the Valley, Sant’Illuminato is surrounded by 18 hectares of farmland and produces its own wheat, corn, fruit and honey. There is a lake with a sailing boat and two rowing boats for guests to enjoy. Local amenities and restaurant are only 1.5km.
The ancient stone farm buildings sit 300m above sea level which offers unobstructed views of the valley, all the way to the Tiber. The original structure dates back to the late 1600s, and the entire complex has now been completely restored to create five fully independent apartments, each tastefully and distinctively furnished and equipped with all modern comforts. Great care has been taken to preserve the original architecture, and the wooden beams, terracotta tiles, and stone fire-places in some of the apartments are close to 300 years old. In keeping with the traditions of old, each room has its own colour and mood and are all highly individual in character.
Each apartment is fully furnished and equipped with everything you will need to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday in the country. There is a swimming pool and the small lake next to the farmhouse is perfect for swimming, fishing or picnics. Tulips apartment is equipped for the disabled.
