C19th Villa near Florence

The Villa Faltignano is situated on a hill overlooking the medieval Castello del Trebbio near Sieci. It is a C19th farmhouse which formed part of the working estate of the Castello, originally built as a fortress in the C12th. The estate comprises nearly 350hectares of grapes, olive trees and native forest and guests can tour the magnificent wine cellars in the castle and taste the estate produce. They are also welcome to wander through the grounds and taste many of the delicacies such as mushrooms, figs, apples, kiwifruit, nuts and peaches. The family demonstrate a keen passion for history, agriculture and cultural traditions and have paid meticulous attention to the restoration of the villas. They produce quality products such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil, wine and saffron and are keen to share their inherent sense of history and long tradition of farming with their guests.

This beautiful Villa, surrounded by its own garden has been tastefully restored and furnished to a very high standard by the owner, who has successfully combined both traditional and modern design. On the ground floor is found a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, dining room, living room and a beautiful patio/loggia for outdoor dining with lovely views. There are two double bedrooms plus bathroom. Guests can also wander into their own private cellar bar room where they can enjoy tasting the various estate wines. On the first floor there are five double bedrooms all with private bathrooms.
