Just off the main square in the small and characteristic village of Donnini near Florence, is Casa del Forno; a stunning location for a beautiful, elegant and charming villa owned by local baker, talented tenor and true Renaissance Man, Sandro Benini. The estate originally belonged to the Medici family before becoming a farm in the C18th and latterly bought by Signor Benini in 1984, who is a fourth generation baker who every morning, produces a delicious array of freshly baked breads, cakes, pizzas and biscotti. He is also a tenor of “bel canto” and has recently produced a CD of well-loved Italian songs. Here, your host’s warm and generous hospitality will provide you with an authentic and unforgettable experience of the best of Tuscan living. He has created a unique combination of comfort and sophistication and the property is exquisitely furnished in traditional Florentine style – its frescoes, antique furniture, superbly landscaped gardens, terraces and panoramic swimming pool all blend into the beauty of its surroundings. It is surrounded by and overlooks, Tuscan hills covered with vines, olive groves and cypress trees and guests will find amongst the statues, flowers and cypresses, a place in the sun or the shade to relax and enjoy a glass of local Chianti wine!

The villa comprises on the first floor, a spacious, elegant and comfortably furnished living room with piano, leading onto a panoramic terrace for outdoor dining. There is an integrated dining room and fully equipped kitchen with cooker and dishwasher. Onto the lower terrace there is a pool deck with sunbeds and shades. On the lower floor there are two double bedrooms with ensuite (one with bath) with the third bedroom as a self contained studio. This has its own private entrance and has a fully equipped kitchenette, shower room and TV and lovely views over to the hills.
