I Nidi di Belforte originates as far back to the year 1100 when it was a small medieval village protected by a guard tower overlooking the valley and dominated by the “Castello di Belforte”. It is surrounded by hills with vast open fields, large centuries old trees, olive groves and chestnut woods. The whole area offers a haven of peace and tranquillity. The farmhouse and buildings have undergone intense restoration and as a result, their lovely ancient structures and interiors have been meticulously preserved. The village of Dicomano with shops and amenities is 9kms and Florence 45kms. Golf, tennis and horse riding are all within easy access with Lake Bilancino (40km) offering sailing and windsurfing. There are beautiful walks in the surrounding area and the unbelievably beautiful views will delight those who wish to relax and just enjoy this beautiful corner of Tuscany. It is a haven for those who are seeking peace and quiet and the ultimate rural retreat.
I Nidi di Belforte is comprised of 9 comfortable, renovated apartments (sleeping 2 – 8 people), situated on the top of a small hill.
Each apartment has its own private entrance and garden, living room/kitchen and is furnished in a typical Tuscan style. All apartments are equipped with satellite TV. One apartment has facilities for the disabled.
